Panic, a 25-year-old company in Portland, Oregon that is a Mac software developer, video game publisher, and game system hardware manufacturer — quite a unique combo — is seeking a Playdate Support Agent to work at our headquarters. Playdate is our yellow handheld gaming system, shipped around the world, and beloved by many. But Playdate's success means a growing number of support inquiries. The ideal candidate for this position will have customer service experience as well as experience shipping and receiving packages.

How about it?

Responsibilities:

  • Front-line tech support. Respond to customers experiencing problems with their Playdate via email and social media
  • Identify and communicate problems with Playdate orders, hardware, software, and tools to our engineering and hardware teams
  • Arrange for RMAs as needed and handle the receiving, processing, and analysis of returned units
  • Review and improve documentation on the return process

    Qualifications:

    • Ability to work with teams with a wide range of backgrounds and ways to collaborate
    • Excellent grammar and written communication skills

      Location:

      Panic has grown to include people from all over the country working remotely, but this particular job requires someone to be on-site at our Portland, Oregon office to receive and process Playdate returns. For this reason we cannot accept remote workers for this position; however, Panic offers up to $5K in reimbursement for relocation expenses if you'd like to move here.

      Salary:

      The estimated salary for this full-time position is $45K annually. Benefits include:
